What a nice find! We were in the area to see a show at the Palace Theater and we wanted a yummy bite before the show started. When around Chinatown, you must get dim sum. Now, it was late enough that the typical whole-in-the-wall placed run single-handedly by someone's grandma were closed so we were a bit wary when trying to find a place, but we found Osmanthus online and stopped in. I was surprised to see the place was fairly empty, but the inside was lovely and the bar was neat to look at. We were seated quickly and made our selections and started off with some drinks. I got the Empress Lychee, which was light and complimented the meal well. My bf got some version of an Old Fashioned that he said was delicious. We ordered spicy pork & shrimp shumai, spinach and mushroom dumpling, steamed bbq pork buns, sesame balls, and I believe it was the house noodle with spicy pork. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and hot! The only downside was the price, which we found to be a bit steep. For our two drinks and 5 plates we paid about $100. But I suppose that is the cross you bear when finding a sit down dim sum place as opposed to a tiny shop elsewhere in Chinatown. Overall, I'd say this was a great experience and we'd happily come back if we are ever in the area again.

Dim sum restaurant on broadway right at the intersection where kearny intersects. Small, medium and large dishes are a tad more expensive then other restaurants. They have an outdoor space that is pet friendly. Everything was done pretty well. On weekends, especially sunday, parking is not bad as the neighborhood is typically a night business area with bars, clubs, etc. service is typically like other dim sum restaurants. Their teapot though was better made and rarely leaks (which is typical in many chinese restaurants) Total came to $35/person. Given it's one of the few dim sum restaurants that is pup friendly (in addition to harborview, palette), will return for sure!

Had some good lunch at this North Beach dim sum bar and grill. It has a classy yet casual atmosphere inside. Osmanthus has more than just dim sum though. Get a lot of Asian classics. The best thing of course is to get what they're known for because this is the best stuff. Came at lunch and it wasn't as busy. It's got enough room for a good crowd. The dim sum is the main thing. Because it's also a bar they have cocktails. It's about $12 for a typical cocktail, and the best one we had was the Tokyo Highball. Basic but full of flavor. This was made with Fever Tree Lime, Toki Japanese Whiskey, and yuzu. For those not aware, yuzu is a citrus fruit. It's about $6 for the Spinach Dumplings, which came out fast and steaming hot. These were filled with corn, peas, and tofu. Good stuff as far as dumplings go. It's place to go if wanting to eat healthy and not too much. There's a few choices on the menu for vegans and vegetarians.

This dim sum restaurant is a nice find. The sesame balls are 5/5. They are sweet with a tasty filling inside. The XLB is good but not the best. It's a 4/5. The scallion pancake is light and crispy. It's definitely a 5/5. The cocktails are decent but slightly imbalanced. I'd rate them 4/5. The ambiance is simple. The restrooms are clean. The service is friendly and welcoming. However, the restaurant could be cleaner. There are crumbs on the seats and floor. Overall, a solid spot for dim sum with a few minor drawbacks.
